And We’re Live in 3, 2, …

During my struggles with NaNoWriMo 2011 I got the idea for this site. Now that the dust has settled from that monumental, tiring effort I’ve decided to launch my idea…

What’s the plan here? Well, ‘plan’ is a really big word. Let’s just say I intend to grow this site to include ideas for novels, how to write better, industry news that catches my eye, words and phrases, and a whole lot more. I hope it becomes a meeting place for others who are ‘frustrated’ novelists look for a place to hang out, vent their anger or celebrate their successes (large and small). There will be plenty to learn and explore as the site grows, and hopefully a lot of fun to enjoy as well.

Writing is simultaneously a solitary pursuit and a social one, and that dichotomy is only one of the factors that a writer has to deal with on their way to becoming a published author. Solitary because nobody can write your stories but you. Social contact is important at many points in the process, though. And ultimately, if you want to become published and known you have to connect to the market of your choice; a good bit of that is social.

Consider registering for the site, and (once they’re activated) subscribing to the RSS feeds. For the next little bit, though, this place will have plenty of sawdust and funny smells, power tools running at fever pitch, and building material deliveries left and right. Consider it a hard-hat area until things settle down…

Keep Writing (This Means YOU)
